Title: Love this flour
I have tried so many flours but this one is by far my favorite in flavor and texture. I use this flour with the Portuguese Bread Sandwich Bread (I double the yeast amt) to make crescent rolls that people say they can't tell are gluten free! Yay! I use this wiht the Betty Crocker cook book pizza crust recipe, I use 2 cups of GF Bread flour, 1/2 tapioca starch instead of wheat flour and again double the yeast and yum! Love this stuff!!

Title: Dedicated long-time fan
I’ve been using the Steve’s bread flour and cake flour blends for many years, and still haven’t found another blend that comes close in performance, even as many cup-for-cup GF blends have been stocked in grocery stores. Because of my kids’ severe allergies, I have to bake GF and egg-free, which creates an extra challenge into achieving structure and texture. Many blends out there only work well if you can use eggs. The Steve’s blends have enabled me to make for my kids safe and excellent pizzas and bagels and baguettes as well as cakes and cookies and quick breads and cinnamon rolls, that my kids really couldn’t have otherwise. Much gratitude here! Please don’t stop selling this.

Title: Wonderful!
This is a real find if you are unhappy with the texture and dryness of most gluten free flours/blends (both pre-made and make-your-self). I used it for both deep dish pizza crust and bread, and both came out terrific! I love that I have found a gluten free product that I can shape more like wheat flour baked goods.

Title: Perfect!
I purchased 1 bag of Steve's Gluten Free Bread Flour Blend to try. After using it in my Easter baking, I wish I had ordered a LOT more. My kolaches, babka and monkey bread were the best! In almost 10 years of gluten free baking, this is the best g-f flour blend I have found, and I have tried almost everything on the market, as well as mixing all my own flours from each individual recipe. When I combined Steve's G-F Bread Flour Blend with the recipes for breads in "I Can't Believe It's Gluten-Free!" and "Gluten-Free on a Shoestring Bakes Bread", everything came out as good as if I had made it with white flour made from wheat. This is the flour I have been looking for. Thank you

Title: Awesome Mix
I've struggled for years to find a way to make family favorites and now I have it! You can do ANYTHING with this that you would regular yeast dough. I've made astounding glazed raised doughnut holes (or full-sized doughnuts with a hot air fryer), cinnamon rolls, butterscotch rolls, Parker house rolls, kolatches and more! I LOVE this mix. The only change I make for the rolls is to substitute milk for the water. It does great bread, too, that doesn't go moldy as fast as that made from other mixes. You have to try this stuff!!!

Steve’s Flour Blend – Vegan Bread Recipe

Ingredients:
542 grams Steve’s GF Flour Blend
7 grams quick rise yeast
568 grams warm water
3 tablespoons (36 grams) vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Mix all dry ingredients, Steve’s GF Flour Blend, sugar, yeast.
  2. Add warm water and oil to the flour blend and mix at low speed until the flour and liquid come together to form a dough.  Continue mixing at medium speed for 30 seconds.
  3. Place the dough on to a lightly floured surface.  (Recommed using sweet rice flour for dusting)  Shape the dough into your desired shape, rectangle, square, or round.  Cover the dough and set aside to proof in a warm area for 30 to 45 minutes.  Prebake the oven to 450° F along with a superstone bread baker or cast iron pot.  When the dough is ready to bake, remove the hot superstone baker or cast iron pan and carefully placed the dough inside. Then place back in the oven and bake for approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
  4. When bread is ready, remove from oven and place on a cooling rack.  Let the bread cook for one hour before cutting.
